DSTV is a satellite television service that allows viewers to watch live TV directly from their computer or mobile device without having to pay subscription fees. This is done through a set top box called a dongle. The dongle connects to your broadband internet connection and then connects to the DStv platform. You can view content from over 20 different channels including local South African channels.
Register your details
Registering your details is easy! Just visit www.dstv.com/register and follow the instructions. You can register online or at any Dstv retail outlet.
Activate your account
Once registered, activate your account by visiting www.dstvactivate.com. Enter your registration number, password and date of birth. Click ‘Activate’ and wait for the activation code to appear on screen. This code will enable you to watch live TV from that day onwards. DStv Premium
DStv premium is a package that includes access to DStv’s entire channel line-up. In addition to this, you get free access to the DStv On Demand service. With this service, you have access to thousands of movies and shows.
DStv Go
DStv go is a basic package that only gives you access to the DStiv On Demand service. This means that you cannot watch live TV.
